Back after two years of absence, due to health measures, the 53rd edition of the FIA brought together for five days, over an area of 24,800m2, nearly 700 companies, including 187 foreign companies representing 20 countries.

Organized under the slogan "For a strategic partnership", this edition had the United States of America as its guest of honor, with the participation of 35 American companies representing the energy, construction, agriculture, agro-food, hydraulics, environment, aeronautics industry and education.

A meeting on the Algerian-American negotiations on the framework agreement on trade and investment (TIFA) was organized on the sidelines of the Fair which allowed the conclusion of twelve (12) partnership agreements between economic operators Algerians and their American counterparts in several priority sectors, including agriculture and industry

The Ministry of National Defense (DND) participated for the first time in the FIA with 19 companies representing production units of an economic nature in the mechanical, textile and shipbuilding sectors.

Also, the FIA registered for the first time, the participation of Algeria venture bringing together thirty five (35) Algerian startups activating in technology. this participation was concluded by the signing of an agreement between Algeria venture and Google (MENA region).

The Djurdjura pavilion was, moreover, reserved for the wilaya of Tamanrasset, an approach introduced for the first time, consisting in designating one of the wilayas of the country as a guest of the FIA in order to enable it to highlight its cultural heritage, its tourist and economic potential. This pavilion saw a large influx of Algerian and foreign visitors.
